Big Ideas,
Real Impact.

While Daync Academy primarily partners with companies and organizations to deliver corporate team-building experiences, we occasionally open up select sessions to the public.

These events are your chance to experience the same energy, connection, and atmosphere that teams across Milwaukee book us for—no pressure, no judgment, just a great time.

SALSA

The style of Salsa we teach is called Mambo, also known as New York Style Salsa On2. While many studios in Milwaukee focus on Salsa On1, we’re proud to give you the chance to experience a different rhythm, flavor, and tradition.

At the beginner level (Level 1), you’ll learn the essentials: basic steps, timing, partner connection, and body movement. You’ll also be introduced to the heartbeat of Salsa — the conga drum — and begin to understand how other instruments (like the clave, piano, and horns) guide the dancer. This foundation makes it easier to transition into Level 2 with confidence.

Our program goes beyond steps — we integrate Afro-Cuban movement and musicality so you can connect with Salsa’s roots and dance with authentic expression.

  • Salsa On2 (Levels 1&1.5) – Build your foundation in timing, partnerwork, musical interpretation, and connection to the instruments.

At Daync, Salsa is more than just steps — it’s rhythm, culture, and connection.

  • Saturdays at 11am (1-2x monthly)

This class is for anyone with very little to no experience. A partner is not required. In this class you will learn not only your basic Salsa steps, but also learn about the different instruments that are played in Salsa music. We will train your ears to be able to identify and understand how to dance to Salsa on time with confidence. You will heavily train in Salsa body movement and be challenge in different Salsa step variations that prepare you for the partner portion of class.

The 2nd half of class focuses on partner connection and the fundamental ‘bread & butter’ moves you need to know as a beginner social dancer.

  • COMING SOON

In Level 1.5 Partnerwork, you’ll take your Salsa foundations to the next stage — developing the technique, timing, and awareness needed to dance confidently with any partner on the social floor.

This class builds on the basics by focusing on:

    • Connection & Frame – refining lead and follow technique for smoother, clearer communication

    • Turn Patterns & Variations – learning intermediate combinations with intention and flow

    • Musicality in Partnerwork – understanding how instruments like the clave, piano, and horns shape partner movement

    • Floorcraft & Spatial Awareness – navigating crowded dance floors with confidence and control

With an emphasis on quality over quantity, Level 1.5 Partnerwork gives you the tools to feel grounded, expressive, and culturally connected while dancing with others.

This class isn’t currently offered yet and will more than likely be offered in late spring or summer 2026.

BACHATA

At Daync, we don’t just teach the steps — we teach you to feel the music. In our Bachata program, you’ll learn how to recognize the instruments, hear the rhythms, and let the music guide your movement.

We offer :

  • Level 1 Urban Bachata – offered year-round, blending modern style, musicality, and smooth partnerwork.

At the beginner level, you’ll build a strong foundation of body movement, footwork, and partnerwork fundamentals that apply to both styles. As you progress, we guide you into musical interpretation, styling, and the cultural roots that make Bachata more than just a dance — it’s a language of connection, history, and joy.

  • Saturday COMING SOON

This class is designed for anyone with little to no dance experience. No partner is required — just bring yourself and a willingness to learn.

In this beginner program, you’ll build a strong foundation in timing, technique, and musicality. We’ll introduce you to the basic Bachata steps while also training your ears to hear the instruments that make up Bachata music. You’ll learn how to recognize rhythms, stay on time with confidence, and move with full-body awareness.

Along with footwork and body movement, this class emphasizes partnerwork fundamentals. You’ll practice connection and simple single-turn patterns that can be used right away on the social dance floor — whether at a studio social or in a nightclub environment.

Our goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and connected from the very first class.
